Job Listing: Surface Mount Tech

Hiring an experienced Surface Mount Technician. This position will coordinate the activities of the current 2 shift operation, provide technical support to the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line, and will reside on the second shift. Technical support of the SMT line will consist of but not limited to the following duties and activities:

» Support Surface Mount ( SMT) assembly line/equipment to include programming, maintenance, equipment/software trouble shooting, and debug of new and existing production software programs.

» Ensure that new products flow smoothly through the SMT equipment following appropriate protocol.

» Responsible for maintaining production output per the production schedule.

» Ensure new employees are adequately trained to operate the SMT equipment.

» Collect, compile, analyze, develop and report data and information regarding SMT operations/issues.

» Perform failure analysis and/or root cause analysis of defects and/or field returns.

» Perform inspection, corrective and preventive actions and other quality assurance related assignments to ensure that the SMT line is producing a high quality product.

» Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
To qualify for the position potential applicants must meet the following education and experience levels:

» Associates degree in a technical discipline such as electronics and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a SMT technician level position preferably working on Siemens Dematic equipment.

» Must be proficient with a Surface Mount software program preferably SiPlace Pro and the Microsoft Office Suite applications.

    Rate: $42,000 to $52,000 per Year
