We are currently seeking a SCHEDULING MANAGER for a major General Contractor in the Los Angeles area. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- MUST have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
- MUST have ten years of experience with a minimum of five years in field management as a Project Manager or Superintendent.
- Thorough knowledge of building systems and components, project scheduling and contractual language and company procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/ interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Primavera and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Desire to develop innovative approaches in order to increase the effectiveness of project scheduling.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Develop & Maintain schedule templates for all major product types.
- Schedule templates for pre-construction & construction phase.
- Update templates from as-built completed projects
- Work w/ project teams to develop baseline schedules.
- Develop and maintain schedule updating standards and manage their implementation on projects.
- Review and support project teams for monthly updates.
- Train teams to identify monthly impacts relative to the baseline and previous month's schedule.
- Review daily reports for schedule critical issues and documentation.
- Assist teams with "What if" scenarios to review alternate approaches.
- Review quarterly schedules and report findings a quarterly meetings.
- Assist teams to insure delays are adequately documented.
- Develop contingency options with the team to accelerate schedule.
- Review daily reports for adequate documentation.
- Insure delay damage costs are justifiable with schedule.
- Lead/assist w/ unique detailed project planning efforts.
- Review contracts for specific scheduling needs and profile critical timeliness.
- Assist project closeout teams in completing as-built schedules for completed project.
- Lead effort to develop metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of project scheduling.
- Provide training on P3, Suretrak, and MS Project to Project Engineers, Project Manager, and Superintendents.
- Develop training modules and hold regular software classes.
- Support marketing and business development teams.
- Support corporate attorney's needs.
- Lead effort to leverage new information technologies such as 4D modeling for effective project scheduling.
- Develop trade productivity rates for crew planning needs.
