Job Listing: .Net Developer

Teksystems is seeking Jr to Mid-level .Net developers for a contract to hire position in Ocala, FL.

The ideal candidate works from written business requirements or project queue items as assigned by the project manager to deliver error-free code per the specifications and within the time allotted in the project plan.

Designs, develops and supports applications for all aspects of the business utilizing proper programming practices and clear code documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the planning and design of proprietary software applications.
Collaborate with peers and employees to identify technical requirements and application workflow.
Collaborate with peers in researching competitive software solutions. Collaborate with development team and project management to specify core application architecture, database requirements, and assign reasonable timelines.
Create functional specification documents.

Engineer proprietary software applications using ASP.NET (VB and/or C#) and other .NET technologies.
Deliver properly-documented, error-free code as required to meet documented specifications.
Following documented test requirements, evaluate all software applications to ensure proper functionality, stability, and data integrity. Document test results.
Participate in the deployment of tested software solutions and training materials into the production environment.
Support and Maintenance
Assist technical support personnel in identifying software-related problems.
Aggressively execute corrective measures to resolve any errors or flaws in existing functionality.
Receive and complete maintenance-related updates as assigned by the project manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong understanding of the practical applications of .NET technologies in a distributed (multi-site) business model.
Minimum of 2 years application development experience.
Microsoft Visual Studio.NET
Strong working knowledge or certified expertise in the following development technologies: Microsoft ASP.NET, Microsoft Visual Basic.NET, Microsoft C#.NET, Microsoft SQL 2000, Business Objects Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office 2000/XP/2003, XML, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML.
