Job Listing: Safety Director

A large, well established manufacturing company in Dallas is currently seeking a National Safety Director to oversee all 6 locations.

The ideal employee will monitor Safety policies and procedures, and create and enforce them when necessary. The Safety Director will work with Safety Coordinators to verify enforcement of rules and regulations. He/She will ensure OSHA compliance in all facilities and develop safer working conditions. He/She will be required to travel 3 to 4 days every 4 to 6 weeks to other production sites.

All applicants should be proficient in all of the following functions:

*First Aid/CPR Trained (assuring the ability to respond to a emergency on production floor) and ensuring that injuries are properly attended to
*Walk through verifying guarding is in place and registering any hazards to make sure hazards are attended to.
*Keep all OSHA records 300,301A, Surveys
*Training- Haz Comm, Emergency Evac Etc.
*Conduct safety meetings with plant Safety Coordinators
*Review and suggest any new guarding that will help establish a safer work environment
*Reporting Injuries to Workers Comp Carrier
*Creating Accident/Injury files and maintaining
*Order and maintain inventory of all PPE and First aid supplies-always looking for competitive pricing
*Issuing Bona fide job offers when necessary
*Monitor all Worker Comp claims
*Completing TWCC 6 for insurance agent
*Wage statements for WC insurance agent
*Verifying that any accidents are documented correctly and files are kept updated
*Ensuring all employees are put on FMLA
*Verify Safety Orientations are being completed
*Safety Incentive Program – keeping up to date with incentive program.
*Accident Investigations
*Attend WC hearings
*Monitor on invoicing regarding Drug Screens, Physicals, Alcohol test for all states.
