 1 vacancy - Ft McCoy & Tomah areas, WI This position is located at the Resource Management Office, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort McCoy WI. Fort McCoy's mission is to support the readiness of the force by serving as a training center and a support site for power-projection missions. Fort McCoy's primary responsibility is providing quality training facilities for reserve and active component military forces.

This position is full time, permanent, entry-level position in a developmental program aimed at developing technical, business, and leadership skills through participation in core training and assignments.  Upon completion of the development program, incumbent can be converted to permanent, career or career-conditional  status.

Major Duties


Incumbent work under close supervision and works in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, both of which are aimed in preparing the incumbents to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties at the GS-11 level.  Duties include, but not limited to:  A complete range of budget analysis duties for all resources managed by a team.  Provides technical and functional leadership, and serves as a technical expert for budget programs.  Provides budgetary services to customers through all phases of programming and budgeting processes.  Interprets, formulates, disseminates and implements program and budget guidance, policies and procedures.  Develops funded programs and unfinanced requirements and decrements in various budget execution reviews.  Directs the processing of detailed financial management documentation through a variety of functional systems including budget, manpower, supply, contracting and finance and accounting systems.  Provides technical and functional leadership.  Participates in functional and resource management reviews and projects designed to improve performance related to the Army Performance Improvement Criteria.

FOR THE GS-05 LEVEL:




Applicant must possess a bachelor's degree or completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.




OR




Applicant must possess 3 years of general experience, with one year equivalent to at least the GS-04 level.  General experience is defined as three years of progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to: (1) Analyze problems to identify significant factor, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; (2) Plan and organize work; and (3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing.




FOR THE GS-07 LEVEL:




Applicant must possess a bachelor's degree and meet one of the following provisions for Superior Academic Achievement: The bachelor's degree must be in accounting, business, administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other field related to the position.




Superior Academic Achievement:




a. A standing in the upper third of your college class or major subdivision (e.g. school of business) at the time you apply.




b. A grade point average of "B" (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent for all courses completed: (a) at the time you apply or (b) during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum.




c. A grade point average of "B+" (3.5 on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent for all courses completed in a qualifying major field of study, either (a) at the time of application; or (b) during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum.




d. Election to membership in one of the National Honorary societies (other than freshman societies) that meets the requirements of the Association of College of Honor Societies.




Grade point average should be rounded to one decimal point. For example: 2.95 is rounded to 3.0 and 2.94 is rounded to 2.9.




NOTE: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) was taken on a pass/fail or similar basis, your claim must be based on class standing or membership in an honor society.
