A large Investment Company located in Tacoma, Washington is looking for a C#.Net Application Developer to work in support of IT backend database development. Application development primarily involves custom application development and integration through all phases of the software development cycle, from concept to completion. This will involve strong end user experience.

It serves individual as well as institutional customers in 35 countries with products such as funds, indexes, and financial management services. Their purpose is to improve financial security for people by providing strategic advice, world-class implementation, state-of-the-art performance benchmarks and a range of objectively researched, institutional-quality investment products.
This is an estimated 1 year contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in New York City. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies on the East Coast.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Application Developer position include the following:

.NET application guru, with 6-8 years of experience developing large scale systems.
Must have very strong backend database development skills in SQL 2000 and C#.Net. (Senior level development skills in SQL 2000 and C#.Net are required.)
Comfortable working with an agile and iterative style of development.
Strong end user related experience.
Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
