Job Listing: User Interface Developer – FLASH/WPF/ASP.NET

The User Interface Developer is a key member of the Software Development team, focusing on the design and development of web application user interfaces for new and existing features within our client's products. The User Interface Developer will utilize their coding and design expertise to develop robust web-client user interfaces which integrate with various server-side components and back-end systems. As a member of the Software Development team, this person will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including functional definition, UI design and development and usability testing.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing cross-browser user interfaces and well rounded technical experience with ASP.NET web application development. This person will work with the System Developers to integrate the user interface with back-end systems and with QA Specialists to meet the functional needs of customers.

Responsibilities:

- Proposes, designs and develops web-based user interfaces for software products to produce best-in-class web-based software applications.

- Implements and enhances product features under both ASP and ASP.NET which interface with relational databases, server-side components/services, and various backend systems.

- Gauges the usability of new and existing products and makes constructive suggestions for change.






Required Skills

- 2+ years experience developing commercial-quality web applications.

- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, computer science, or equivalent experience.

- Proficient in HTML / XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ActionScript.

- Working knowledge of:
ASP.NET
FLASH / ACTIONSCRIPT
XML / XSL
MS SQL
WPF is a plus.

- Experience using MS SQL and an understanding of database fundamentals.

- Experience with search engine optimization best practices.

- Experience with Web service design and implementation.

- Background in Object oriented programming and design.

- Experience with project requirements definition, analysis, and documentation.
