Function as responsible engineer for resolving facility power, communication and electrical issues at Ft. Greely, Alaska. Perform root cause analysis, determine corrective action and trace electrical circuits. Provide documentation and detailed technical instructions to facility operation and maintenance staff. Make recommendations for facility system improvements and develop various maintenance and system or equipment test procedures. Ensure application of best practices and identify the need for enhanced practices. Assist facilities technicians in answering questions related to electrical system.
Requirements:
1.BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years experience.
2. Familiarity with facility electrical, power and communication drawings is desired
3. Extensive knowledge of various facility electrical, power and communication equipment and systems.
4. Understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance practices for facilities electrical components.
Skill Required: Ability to analyze complex problems and correct deficiencies. The ability to lead and participate in a functioning IPT environment to accomplish the stated objectives. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point). GMD Nonconference Tracking System (GNTS) experience desired. Ability to work under minimal supervision with ability to resolve cross-functional technical issues.
Ability to obtain an interim secret clearance
