Our client, an international-based manufacturing company, is seeking a Procurement Assistant for their South Philadelphia location.
On a day to day basis, this person, with Procurement Management direction, will be responsible for supplier selection, price negotiations, and terms and conditions agreements. The Procurement Assistant will have close interface with Engineering to assure supplier adherence to all technical requirements. This person will also maintain and establish controls for the flow of all documentation, memos, and letters with suppliers and all required internal organizations.
To be qualified for this position, individuals should have at least 1-3 years of direct or related experience in the manufacturing industry and a BA in Business Administration or equivalent experience. Qualified candidates must be familiar with procurement concepts, practices, and procedures; as well as have knowledge of Supplier Partnering and Supply Chain Management. Individuals must possess excellent communication skills and proficiency with Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel.
The hours of the Procurement Assistant will be Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30.
