Job Listing: Quality Inspector

Due to a recent merger, a world leader in the plastic drip irrigation field is significantly increasing production capacity in their Fresno, CA facility. With the addition of new production space and increased employee capacity, our customer is seeking to add a qualified Quality Inspector to their rapidly growing team.

The Quality Inspector performs a variety of complex tasks to inspect quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products for drip irrigation. The responsibilities are as follows:

• Interprets engineering drawings or formulas and confers with management/engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

• Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.

• Records test data applying statistical quality control procedures.

• Inspects product hourly and records and maintains 'Inspection Data Sheets' Confers with production leads and operators to verify they understand the quality requirements and Work Instructions of product being produced.

• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics.

• Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
