Job Listing: Dispatch Manager - Telecommunications
A leading voice and data service provider in the Southeastern United States is looking to hire a Dispatch Manager. This is a growing company in enormous growth mode, with an urgent need. The Company recently acquired a competitor and is seeking further acquisitions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Dispatch Manager:
Utilizes ISRs (Internal Service Requests) to prepare TEOs (Telephone Equipment Order), SOWs (Statement of Work) and EWOs (Equipment Work Order) to facilitate the installation, testing and maintenance of all customer premise equipment.
Must be able to apply technical expertise to identify, develop, document and implement plans required to satisfy both internal and external customer needs.
This includes gathering required data and other pertinent information for accurate recordkeeping.
This may require working hand-in-hand with the Field Operations Manager.
Develops, writes and continually updates Dispatch Process, Procedures and Training.
Is responsible for auditing all Field Ops monthly/weekly invoices, in conjunction with the Field Operations Manager.
Manages dispatch staffing, policies, procedures and staff evaluations.
Develop Metrics and reporting for Dispatch org.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Manager of Network Planning manages Dispatch personnel.

Required Skills
Required Skills for this Dispatch Manager position include the following:
Bachelors Degree preferred and/or three (3) years of experience in the Telecommunications industry with similar responsibilities
Strong technical skills with Switching Systems and Electronics
Working knowledge of the following:
Electronics
Grounding Practices
DSL
T1
PBX Systems
Inside/Outside Plant
VoIP
TDM
TCP/IP
Familiarity with the following:
Telco central office layouts
G.711, G.729, G.723, and G.726
Voice, Data and Equipment Engineering Technologies
Advanced knowledge of Telecommunications:
Equipment
Terminology
Standard Practices and Procedures
Bonus Skills and Experience (Nice to Have):

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
