Multimillion-dollar International R&D company seeks SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR-ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION for its location in CA. We perform a variety of engineering research, systems engineering, testing, and integration services for commercial and government clients globally. Some clients include the DoD (US Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps & Joint Services), DoT, local government agencies, and domestic & international commercial companies. The SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR of ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION will act as a DIRECTOR of RESEARCH in 3 areas: (1) MEDICAL DEVICES & ROBOTICS, (2) MOBILE ROBOTICS & ACTUATOR TECHNOLOGY, and (3) MACHINE VISION providing business strategy, VISION, and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT expertise. You will also be responsible for BUDGETING, P&L, for a group with an approximate $10M gross revenue, and a staff of 21. Skills Candidates MUST have the ability to get a TS SECURITY CLEARANCE to be considered.

Required Skills

Required: MS/PhD with a MECHANICAL CLOSED SYSTEMS approach is required and 15+ YEARS in the ROBOTICS INDUSTRY. Experience MUST INCLUDE PROGRAM or TEAM MANAGEMENT and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT and/or PROPOSAL WRITING experience within the ROBOTICS industry. MUST have an understanding of SENSOR and FEEDBACK PRINCIPLES and the ability to UNDERSTAND THE WAY ROBOTS WORK AS INTELLIGENT MACHINES.
Desired: Experience with SURGICAL ROBOTICS, ELASTOMERIC ACTUATORS, and/or ADVANCED MACHINE VISION A PLUS.
