For Federal wage positions, no specific length of training/experience is required. See HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED for qualification requirements. Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of the KSAs.
Credit will be given for all qualifying experience regardless of whether compensation was received or whether the experience was gained as a part-time or full-time occupation. Full-time work is generally considered to be 35 to 40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. To receive credit for such experience, you must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities, month and year, and the number of hours per week spent in each position of employment. TRAVEL: Frequent overnight and extended travel away from home will be required and may include camping in backcountry conditions.
GOVERNMENT TRAVEL/CREDIT CARD: Overnight travel will be required. If selected, you will be required to obtain and use a government-issued credit card. Travel in Government aircraft may also be required as a part of the duties of this position. If you have a private life insurance policy, travel in a Government aircraft may affect the benefits payable in the event of an accident.
BACKGROUND SECURITY INVESTIGATION: Prior to entrance on duty, a background security investigation will be required for all new hires, as well as, current Federal employees who are not currently covered by a satisfactorily adjudicated Federal background investigation commensurate with the national security, public trust, and/or non-sensitive position sensitivity designation of this position.
