Duty Locations
1 vacancy - Chicago Metro area, ILJesse Brown VA Medical Center, located in Chicago, IL, has a LPN position available at its Lakeside Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) which is located at 211 E. Ontario St. Chicago, IL. Tour of Duty is Monday thru Friday, day shift. Under the supervision of a licensed RN, Nurse Practitioner, or a Physician, the LPN is accountable for the quality of nursing care he/she provides while utilizing the nursing process.
Major Duties
The Lakeside Licensed Practical Nurse works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a busy CBOC in Chicago, Illinois. Under the supervision of a licensed RN, Nurse Practitioner, or a Physician, the LPN is accountable for the quality of nursing care he/she provides utilizing the nursing process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: provide preventive health care (clinical reminders) and patient education; perform phlebotomy; obtain EKG, vital signs, height and weight, etc.How to Apply

Required Skills
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required; Current, active, unrestricted LPN license; Two years of current medical/surgical experience required; Phlebotomy/EKG skills required
-Experience with administration of medications and injections; Excellent interpersonal skills; Works well with interdisciplinary team; Self-directed and rational problem solving; Documented evidence of good communication skills written, oral, and computer.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
After appointment, you will be subject to random testing for illegal drug use.
You must have a certification, licensure, or registration credentials in LPN for this position. In some cases, these may be substituted for experience and education.
You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.

Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: 39,918.00 - 52,700.00 USD per yearSalary determined by Licensed Nurse Professional Standards Board (LPNSB)
