US publicly traded company has moved it's US headquarters to Norwood, MA and is looking to add a Financial Reporting Manger to their Finance organization.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO the position plans and leads the company’s external financial reporting process which includes responsibility for preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC filings.
Co-ordinates with various subject matter professionals such as tax, treasury and manufacturing finance to gather information for external reporting purposes responsible for managing the preparation and validation of financial information included in the company’s quarterly earnings release, working closely with investor relations responsible for periodic executive reporting to senior management and the company’s Board of Directors responsible for analyzing new accounting and reporting guidance issued by the FASB, SEC, EITF and other standard setting bodies to determine implication on financial operations and reporting and for communicating these issues to key management responsible for working with external auditors during the audit process and as issues arise
acting as and advisor on new initiatives to ensure understanding of the proper accounting and reporting
preparing or supervising preparation of financial accounting research as requested by all areas of the company and as the result of new and proposed accounting pronouncements
lead role for SOX 404 implementation and program management for corporate accounting and reporting
drive process improvement and manage and /or participate in projects as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA, with 6 – 10 years of experience including Big 4 Public Accounting Firm. Working with a global manufacturing clients preferred.
Public company reporting experience required.
