Job Listing: Embedded Software Engineer

Aerotek is currently searching for Embedded Windows CE developers for a company who provides software and engineering services to developers of embedded devices worldwide.

Candidates must be able to come up to speed on new technologies quickly. Good communication skills and the ability to work in small teams are essential. The embedded engineer will be responsible for the design and development of drivers and system-level OS components for adaptations of Windows Embedded (Windows CE, Windows Mobile, XPE) to various platforms

Job Requirements:
- Develop low level software for new platforms, including processor boot up code, kernel code and peripheral drivers.
- Debug difficult architecture and device problems
- Work with QA to provide high-quality finished results
- Provide technical direction, advice and resolve issues and risks; and provide mentoring to new team members

Required Experience

- 3-5 years experience writing embedded software or kernel code
- Strong debugging skills
- BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in small team environment
- Strong desire to work on commercial products
- Demonstrated expertise in embedded software development on Windows CE or Windows Mobile is preferred
