Job Listing: Application/Mechanical Engineer

A mid-sized company located close to Des Plaines has an immediate need for an Applications/Mechanical Engineer.

The Responsibilities of the Mechanical/Applications Engineer are as follows:

The Mechanical Engineer will create drawings and quality layouts using AutoCAD, The Mechanical Engineer will also work with BOM's and create and submit quotes to customers.

The Mechanical/Applications Engineer will communicate specific product information and request quotes from suppliers.

The Application/Mechanical Engineer will act as the voice of the customer to all internal/external interfaces.

The Mechanical/Applications Engineer will work with the CNC machines and grinding machines to make prototypes and parts for the customer to ensure they are getting the correct product.

The Mechanical/Applications Engineer will create new drawings and processes with ECN's and ECO's.


Requirements:

Experience with a 2D/3D software package is a must.

Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing technologies, and processes is desired.

Any Experience with Superabrasive manufacturing, grinding, plating, or machining is a plus but not a must.
