Job Listing: Superintendent

Our client is currently looking for a Highway Signing and Lighting Construction Superintendent.

They are looking for a skilled Superintendent who will oversee several foremen and is responsible for getting projects done according to the plans, specifications, and standard details. The superintendent ensures that labor and equipment are distributed as efficiently as possible and that the jobs are completed within the established schedules. The superintendent also ensures that each employee provides eight hours of efficient, quality onsite work each working day.

The superintendent will visit the jobsites prior to dispatching crews to make sure the work is ready and to check for potential problems (overhead lines, obstacles, confined areas, severe slopes, etc) before the crew arrives. The superintendent will visit jobsites everyday and make regular visits to foremen working nights or weekends. The superintendent will be available by phone at all times when crews are working. The superintendent makes sure foremen check in at the beginning and end of every shift and checks in with project manager at the beginning and end of each day.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years experience as a superintendent on highway projects.
