Required Skills for this Oracle/.NET Developer position include the following:
This position requires a great level of understanding in Application Functions as well as in Oracle, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning, Data Modeling, Unix, and other technical artifacts.
Required Skills:
Understanding of Relational Database environments
Experience with the Oracle toolset using PL/SQL and SQL*Plus, Oracle Forms 4.5 or greater
Proven technical and analytical skills
Ability to develop work plans and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance
Analytical/problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience with Oracle RDBMS
Experience in Oracle 9i; knowledge of 10g a plus
Experience with Performance Tuning of Oracle database components for large size databases
Knowledge of .NET, BizTalk, HTML and/or XML a plus
Understanding of IIS, ODBC, ADO
Understanding of SOA, Design Patterns, Frameworks, Use Cases
Experience with UML a plus
Understanding of AutoSys a plus
Experience with Version Control software like VSS and ClearCase
Insurance application experience a plus
Professional Characteristics:
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Willingness to learn new technologies
Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical users
Self-motivated, with strong sense of ownership/accountability, and results-oriented with the ability to manage time and schedules effectively
Ability to understand and follow Project Lifecycle guidelines and standards
Proven ability to multi-task
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to eliminate obstacles
Ability to work in horizontal management structures to influence outcome
Knowledge of systems, configurations, and release procedures
Must value Diversity and Inclusion
Professional Requirements:
Experience in multi-departmental, enterprise-level initiatives
Experience building/implementing large mission-critical systems (1000+ users)
Strong understanding of the business and the business's relationship to automation
Demonstrated delivery of service exceeding customer expectations in a consultative or objective capacity
Ability to influence decisions with a degree of critical thinking based on experience and a grasp of the strategic intent of the project
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to clearly document decisions
Knowledge of Insurance application a plus
