Job Listing: VP of Marketing
Volt Services Group is currently recruiting for a Vice President of Marketing to work for a manufacturing and distribution company in Burnsville. This person oversees all marketing activities for the organization. Develops marketing strategies, evaluates market conditions and recommends changes to encourage maximum sales activity.
1. Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products, or enhance existing products, in response to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Recommend opportunities for new product line expansions or
distribution channels.
- Manage the development and execution of all brand-related
materials, including copy and artwork development/production for
packaging, catalog, website, advertising, and sales collaterals.
- Work in close cooperation with purchasing to source products at
lowest cost.
- Lead new product launch campaigns including: advertisements,
promotions, sales presentation tools, training materials, and
merchandising tools.
2. Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, in alignment with overall company strategic plans, to achieve sales and market share targets.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of market and
customer fundamentals, including industry trends, distribution
channels, industry philosophy/tactics, and margin requirements.
- Analyze and track market trends and competitive products to
identify opportunities for new products, product line revisions and
expansions, and new promotional strategies.
- Analyze business performance for the category, summarizing
performance trends, identifying key drivers, and then formulating
action plans, as appropriate.
3. Lead the development of pricing strategies; and recommend pricing for all new products.
4. Develop, execute and analyze the effectiveness of promotional marketing programs (including advertising, catalogs, websites, sales promotions, co-marketing opportunities, trade shows,
merchandising, and public relations) to increase exposure, introduce new products, and promote products in the marketplace.
5. Manage and develop staff consisting of Marketing Managers,
Sales Managers, Graphic Designers and Customer Service Organization.

Required Skills
*10-15 years of experience in business management
* 5-10 years of brand management/marketing experience
* Masters Degree in Business or Marketing-related field
* Position requires proficiency with computer applications - standard office applications such as MS Office, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Access.
