Job Listing: Systems Analyst

Our client is looking for a Systems Analyst for a 3 month plus contract located in Little Rock,AR.


He/She will analyze current inventory procedures in an effort to automate and improve the current software discovery process. This position would be responsible for building the necessary components to collect software inventory information from various servers, databases, etc. Most often, that would be in the form of some script that will roll into their Marimba system. Other times, it may be accessing data that is stored in a database somewhere on their network. The individual should be capable of identifying the best method for gathering this information, storing it, and building some type of query to extract it from the inventory database.

This will include modifying various scripts of all types (SQL, Unix and Windows). Scripting knowledge is a must. Creating reports via Excel spreadsheet that has various software inventory information in it. Information such as " x" third party application (such as Oracle, etc) sits on x servers". These specific servers have x number of desktop clients attached and they too are either using or not using this third party software The total number of licenses we own or the third party software is "x".
