Job Listing: Acct/Finance Business Analyst

Our client, a financial services firm in downtown Boston is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join their team.

This person will be responsible for....


- Documenting designs for report, screen and data file changes.

- Write test plans, test cases and test scripts that will fully exercise software changes to ensure proper functionality and traceability back to business requirements.

Required Experience Includes..

- At least 5 years of experience working as an analyst on financial & accounting systems

- Experience clearly documenting business requirements, and writing report/screen/file design documentation

- Demonstrated ability to write detailed specification documents that can describe complex business rules to technical people and complex technical issues to business people

- Experience writing test cases and test scripts, and executing same

- Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as GAAP, paid/accrual accounting, general ledger, journal entries, debits/credits

- Able to figure out key interactions between a core system and upstream & downstream interfaces
