Job Listing: Product Safety and Reliability Engineer

One of the top manufacturers in the Hagerstown, MD area is looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers to work in the area of Product Safety and Reliability.

Job Description: This position assists in departmental responsibilities on product safety, product reliability and field interaction issues, preparation of matters concerning product related legal proceedings and Government and Trade Association matters. Additional duties include participating in and monitoring design review procedures for new products, interacting with component vendors regarding component specifications, implementing and monitoring the preparation and dissemination of information such as Field Service Bulletins, Service Information, investigate accidents and other occurrences involving the company products, and assist in preparation of company defense information for product litigation.

Education / Experience: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, 5 years of related engineering and product litigation experience required. A Master's Degree is preferred, but not required.

Additional Job Information: Position requires effective engineering / technical knowledge and communication skills. Will be coordinating with customers, vendors, and engineers to resolve issues or discuss product specs. The position will be based out of the headquarters in Hagerstown, MD. Travel could be up to 20%.
