Job Listing: AS/400 Systems Analyst

TEKsystems client is looking to add a AS/400 Systems Analyst to their team.

The client is looking for someone that has a great technical background, but is comfortable gathering business requirements and creating technical specifications. Distribution and Logistics/Supply Chain experience is required. Candidates will have an interest in developing and understanding the business functions. These individuals are very good problem solvers and have strong analysis skills. This position is open because of increased head count and recent systems upgrades done through out the organization. There is an overflow of work that cannot be completed by the two team members.
25% of the work will be new development and 75% of the work will be analysis/support/requirement definition. IT operates as the charge back organization and they act more like an internal consultant group for the company. All work is created by the business units, therefore candidates have to be good with speaking with business users frequently.

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree and must be able to pass drug and background check.
Qualified candidates will need the following: Requirements:
3-5 years program AS/400 development experience
2+ years process analysis experience
2+ years experience in developing formal technology-related documents
1 year of leadership experience in a team development environment
Bachelors degree
Strong Communication skills (written and verbal)
Heavy user interaction
Strong experience with AS/400, RPG IV, DDS and related tools a must
Distribution and Supply Chain experience a must
Warehouse management system exposure a plus; IBS, Red Prairie, Manhattan Associates or similar experience
Radio Frequency knowledge a major plus.
Experience with documented system methodologies and system implementation experience a major plus
Exposure to working with 3rd party software and vendors a plus.
