Job Listing: Product Development Engineer

Our client, a manufacturer in Tipton, PA is looking for a qualified Product Development Engineer to join its produce development team. Details are as follows:

Product Development Engineer

Key Job Duties include:

-Drive and manage projects from concept stage through manufacturing and delivery.
-Keep track of all aspects of the projects and ensure the products are fully documented, tested and completed; on time and on budget
-Source and qualify external development and manufacturing partners, domestic and international, coordinate development activity, and manage key relationships.
-Develop new supply sources that will improve our cost position, leverage new technologies, add new features, and improve quality of existing products.
-Coordinate development trials and experiments to prove out new product concepts and relevant technologies. Compile, analyze and summarize test data to surface key learnings.
-Collaborate with Industrial Design resources (internal and external) to create specifications, drawings and/or prototypes of new products.
-Work closely with platform teams to surface and build on customer insights tied to unmet needs.
-Contribute to product ideation and concept generation activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

-BS in Engineering (Mechanical , Chemical, Industrial) or other technical disciplines, or equivalent education and experience
-At least 5 years experience in product development or project management
-Demonstrated ability to distill and capture learnings from multiple viewpoints including: customer visits/calls, market data, competitive offerings and other information sources
-Start-to-Finish project management experience a must
