Job Listing: Structural Design

We are in need of a structural checker temporary for approximately a 6-month assignment. This should be a person who is on a designer level but who would be willing and able to do drawing checking. Must have structural experience.

Minimum of two years of vocational school in design and drafting techniques.
Minimum 2 years experience as a structural drafter using AutoCad.
Minimum 3 years experience in a related structural field.
Proficiency with AutoCad
Experience with Solid Modeling (ie Pro E, Solid Works, Inventor, NX, etc). desirable but not required.
Advanced computer skills, including Windows 95 and Microsoft Word and Excel including the ability to use spreadsheets and word processing software.
Knowledge of standard specifications regarding tolerances, finishes, material requirements, and parts lists.
Working knowledge of welding symbols (AWS).
Ability to calculate component weights.
