Job Listing: Manufacturing Engineer

Aerotek is currently looking for a well qualified Manufacturing Engineer for the Hattiesburg, MS Area. Qualified Candidates will plan, develop, direct and execute manufacturing procedures, processes and equipment for current and new product lines.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare and submit Capital Expenditure Requests for organizational approval and manage associated or assigned capital project.
-Perform a wide range of methods, work measurement and other industrial engineering functions for the manufacturing operation.
-Prepares capital expenditure requests requiring frequent interaction with upper management, outside suppliers and agencies.
-Coordinates projects with people at all levels, departments, and facilities in the organization.
-Sometimes conducts/chairs meeting to provide information and/or address issues.
-Designs and develops projects to support overall company objectives. Performs work with limited direct supervision.

Requirements:

-BS in Industrial Engineering or comparable technical field plus 2 years verifiable experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
-Lean manufacturing and six sigma tools strongly desired.
-Significant computer skills required to perform work effectively through use of database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs; to utilize presentation programs while conducting meetings.
-Knowledge of business systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office products, and project management skills.
-Good verbal and written communication skills.
