A rapidly growing, cutting-edge digital media company is looking to hire a Senior Human Resources Manager.
Position Description:
The Senior Human Resources Manager is the key resource for partnering with managers at all levels and delivering HR services for Our Client's office in Reston, VA, The HR Manager's job is to optimize organizational performance through the application of HR expertise, judgment and ability to balance multiple perspectives.
Essential Functions (must equal 100%):
Employee Relations - 40%
Recruiting - 25%
OD (i.e. Talent Management, Training, etc.) - 25%
Administration/Other - 10%
Non-Essential Functions:
Work in a remote site location and maintain strong relationships with the Headquarters in Seattle
Work independently to achieve objectives
Demonstrate good experience partnering with Business Managers to accomplish organizational and HR goals and objectives
Be a self-starter
Be an effective problem-solver, especially with people-related issues
Be organized and detail-oriented
About Our Client
This is a very large and successful Global Leader in Multimedia eCommerce that supplies Internet Media delivery.
They develop and market software products and services designed to enable users of personal computers and consumer electronic devices to send and receive audio, video, games and other multimedia services using the Web.
This is a Direct Hire position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Vienna, VA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Southeast.
Required Skills
Required Skills for this Senior Human Resources Manager position include the following:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum:
5-7 years of HR experience
Must have strong HR Generalist experience, as well as strong Employee Relations and Recruiting skills
Must be able to partner with Business Managers to meet organizational needs
Must have good interpersonal, influencing, and organizational skills
Preferred:
Strong experience in a field HR situation, in a similar industry with an HR headquarters located elsewhere in the country
Experience with Change Management, Conflict Resolution, and Process Improvement a plus
More advanced professional experience in Training and OD (Organization Development) a plus
Tech industry experience
Education, Certification, and/or Training:
Minimum:
BS in Business Administration with emphasis in HR and/or related field
Preferred:
PHR/SPHR
