This organization's Business Intelligence (BI) team is seeking a Data Warehouse Solutions Architect who will be responsible for architecture, design and implementation of their Business Intelligence data stores. Currently they support one existing data mart (Investment Data Mart), and will be architecting and implementing strategies for a new data warehouse and additional business-specific data marts. They are looking for an expert data warehouse professional to oversee development and operations of the current data mart and ETL processing, while developing architectures and leading projects to implement the next generation of data stores used for BI.
The position requires a high level of direct interaction with their BI platform users as well as systems architects and engineers. It requires excellent communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of this organization.
The incumbent of this position will:
Architect and develop key components of their data mart and data warehouse products.
Establish building blocks for this organization in the areas of data mart and data warehouse technology architecture and ETL strategies.
Design and implement a BI data integration and ETL strategy.
Lead technical design for data mart and data warehouse projects.
Work with their outsourcing service provider to oversee development practices & enhancements to the current data mart.
Required Skills
10 + years of experience in the Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse field, preferably with a strong focus on Oracle databases.
5 + years of experience with ETL tools such as DataStage, Syncsort, PL/SQL.
Financial Services is highly preferred, but not required.
Strong data architecture and data modeling skills, with demonstrated experience using industry standard data warehouse design methodologies.
Strong skills in implementation and support of large-scale data warehouses and data marts.
Experience in management of mission-critical production applications.
Experience in the financial services industry and an understanding of investment management data and information delivery requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related discipline.
