Job Listing: GIS Analyst

TEKsystems is seeking a GIS Analyst for a 6 month, contract-to-hire with one of the nation's largest technical integrators.

Candidates must provide their own transportation to and from a personal interview. All candidates must be U.S. Citizens in order to qualify for a DOD Secret Clearance.

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Cartography, Geography, or Remote Sensing. A minimum of 24 months of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Candidates should have a conceptual knowledge of extracting stereo imagery and basic ArcMap, ArcGIS, and ArcView skills.

Employees are responsible for collecting vector data from stereoscopic imagery for the purpose of creating hard copy maps, and/or vector data within a Geographic Information System in support for NGA. Software used is ArcMap in conjunction with several in house developed tools that serve as plug ins to ArcMap.


This position requires drug and background check, as well as the ability to obtain a DOD secret clearance. This position does not pay for relocation or transportation to and from the interview.
