Job Listing: SQL Server DBA

Our client is in need of a Senior SQL Server DBA to be responsible for the database development of web based applications and services. Qualified candidates will have 10 plus years experience with SQL Server including versions 2000/2005/.

Responsibilities:
- Design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability.
- Troubleshoot production processes and solve problems in real-time
- Deploy SQL code to production servers
- Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures.
- Work with application development staff to develop database
architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and
procedures.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.
- Support the production database systems and respond to and resolve production issues.
- Responsible for code reviews of developer-written SQL code.
- Monitor database system details within the database, including stored
procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

- College degree in the field of computer science and/or 10 years
equivalent work experience.
- Must be positive, enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated
- 10 years experience with database structures, theories, principles, and
practices.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Has analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial development experience
- Exposure to C#/.NET a plus
- Exposure to ASP a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Exposure to Business Intelligence practices, with an emphasis on ETL development, a plus

Requirements:

- Demonstrated recent experience in Microsoft SQL Server (10 years min)
- Database development experience in a tiered .NET environment a plus.
- SQL Server DTS
- SQL Server Integration Services required
- Proficient in T-SQL
- Replication
- Idera software a plus
- SQL LiteSpeed software a plus
