Job Listing: User Interface Web Designer

A local client is seeking an experienced User Interface Web Designer for a 4 month + contract position.

This position will vary from simple reviews and heuristic evaluations of existing sites to full-fledged design of the information architecture from scratch. The project is continued Web enhancements to improve the user experience, show a relationship between Web site traffic and marketing initiatives, and continue strengthening the new client brand.

Specific Duties will include:
- Involved in up front definition of new Web sites and Web-related pages or sections
- Maintain existing Web sites performing some HTML coding making sure updates meet existing standards, and keeping sites useful and usable
- Partner with internal Web team and external vendor teams to design and build Web-based solutions

Candidates eligible for consideration must have:

- 5 + years of Professional Web Design Experience with Enterprise level clients

- Experience creating wireframes for new and existing Web sites and Web applications

- Experience creating visual prototypes (shared with business clients prior to building the site) – Can be low-fi or high-fi (from paper to HTML prototype)

- Experience designing the information architecture for Web sites

- Experience performing usability testing (optional, but a bonus)

- Experience and an understanding of user-centered design methods and practices

- Good Photoshop skills

- Excellent customer relationship, presentation, and writing skills

- Experience collaborating with internal business clients and external customers to elicit user requirements and needs for Web sites
