Job Listing: Industrial Engineer

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

One of America's largest producers and manufacturers of wood, pressure treated utility poles, cross arms, lumber and plywood in the Tacoma, Washington area is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a direct hire position.

This Industrial Engineer will be responsible for development of manufacturing methods, plant processes, plant layouts and manufacturing standards. The position plays a leadership role in the identification and implementation of cost reduction initiatives. Also includes development and recommendation of the most effective means to optimize all elements that drive manufacturing results, including labor, equipment, flow and energy utilization.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience working in an industrial environment with specific experience in the following areas:

* BS with a specialization in Industrial Engineering or related degree

* Establishing and auditing standards using established professional methods

* Plant layout and flow analysis

* Computer modeling of manufacturing processes

* Exposure to Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing practices.

* Very strong computer skills directly related to the development of standards, plan layout, plant simulation and cost analysis

* Strong written and analytical skills

* Ability to use CAD, Excel, Word, and other related specialized software


This Industrial Engineer position is a direct permanent placement and pay is very flexible and DOE.
