Job Listing: Telecommunications Technician

Our Telecommunications Department is in need of 6-8 Technical Service Representatives in our Buffalo Grove location. For over 20 years our company has been a leader in retail voice and data system solutions.

Job Description:

- Perform basic diagnostic testing and troubleshooting in a call center environment
- Daily point of contact for customers and contractors to ensure that all service orders are scheduled, completed and closed in a timely manner
- Open and bill work orders
- Manage work order process to ensure customer service level agreements are met
- Order necessary customer equipment
- Escalation to management regarding severe issues, trends or chronic problems

Qualifications:

- BA/BS degree in Telecommunications, Networking and Communication Management or related field preferred
- General knowledge of telecommunications business / industry
- Ability to analyze situations accurately
- Communicate effectively over the phone with customers and contractors

Technical Troubleshooting Equipment:

- Responsible for troubleshooting (phones, fax, printers, scanners, POS registers, POS software, intercoms, data systems, telephony, and other telecommunications hardware and software)
