Job Listing: VB.NET Developer

One of our direct clients is seeking a VB.NET developer with around 3-5 years experience for permanent position in Waterbury, CT.

The project team is responsible for the Graphical Device Interface Modules used to sketch property structures and store them in DXF format in an SQL Database. The programmer analyst will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:

-Collaborate with IT personnel on technical system design ideas and problem resolution.
-Contributes significantly to the design of new function and enhancements to exiting programs.
-Develop new programs including graphical and interactive programs.
-Modify existing programs based on enhancement specification or problem analysis.
-Perform unit testing of all programs developed or modified.
-Assist in the preparation and execution of system acceptance testing.
-Develop program specifications and prepare documentation.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
Within the last five years, three plus years experience actively using the following skills:
-SQL Server 2000 and 2005
-VB.NET 2003 and 2005
-DXF File Format
-GDI+
-Winforms

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-VB.NET 2008
-ASP.NET
