Job Listing: BI Engineer

TEKsystems is currently looking for a BI Engineer for a client of ours in Mount Laurel, NJ.

He/She will be responsible for the following on a day-to-day basis:

* Involved in discussions regarding modifications to existing environments and the establishment of new systems.

* Translate business requirements into an actionable reporting/data repository implementations.

* Work along side the other Information Management and Development subgroups during a project’s inception to help ensure the physical design meets the functional and performance requirements of the end-user application.

* Leverage major information architecture platforms and the experience of the Information Management & Development group to apply the best alternatives for a reporting/data repository solution.

*Identify capabilities and features of each project solution and translate those through documentation and communication with the Information Management & Development group as well as the rest of Information Technology.


Qualified candidates must be able to communicate clearly with business and IT personnel and must be able to translate business requirements into design with minimal supervision and documentation.

In addition, he/she should possess 5-7 years experience with the following:

-Experience in working with business personnel at all levels
-STRONG SQL Server Development 2000 and 2005
-Oracle 9/10 Development & use of TOAD
-PERL scripting
-VB scripting
-Business Objects Universe Development REQUIRED
-Crystal Reports & WebIntelligence Report Creation
- Implementing databases, datamarts, data warehousing and/or Business Objects/Crystal
