Job Listing: Purchasing Agent – Engineering and Const

Our client is the largest investor-owned energy company in the world. They are looking for an individual who meets the qualifications set forth below to work as a Purchasing Agent - Services/Contracts to perform Procurement Agent duties with an engineering/construction focus.

The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years qualifying experience in the field of procurement where steady and consistent professional growth is apparent.

The candidate will develop and implement alternative contracting strategies and conduct strategic negotiations to secure best-value procurement outcomes for construction and engineering services. They will build and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers and preferred suppliers.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field. They will have a strong knowledge of procurement strategies, familiarity with craft labor contracts, general knowledge of engineering and construction industries and practices, operations, business law, finance, and computer applications. The candidate must have analytical and problem solving abilities, superior verbal and written communications skills, and organizational, negotiating and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects is a MUST. Our client is an energy utilities company. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity in a reliable and safe manner.
