Process Engineer

An immediate opening exists as a Process Engineer with Aerotek Contract Engineering in Middletown, DE.

The company is the world's leading manufacturer of thermoplastic nets, nonwovens, laminates, and extruded components used in filtration, automotive, healthcare, industrial, food, electronics and textile markets. 

Job Summary:
 
- Technical duties relating to manufacturing methods and processes designed to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs
- Troubleshooting, improving, and developing new processes, processing characterization, identifying critical process parameters, and collecting and analyzing technical data
- Research alternative production methods and equipment and audit and implement improvements for process control
- Refine new manufacturing methods
- Research cost and quality improvement
- Assist the quality department and work to yield improvements
 
Job Requirements:
 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required
- 5 to 7 years experience working with polymer extrusion processes required
- Previous process control and improvements experience required
- Proficient with SPC software/tools
- Articulate with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
