Job Listing: Materials & Process Development Engineer

Primary Job Functions:

Assists the product design team (engineering and manufacturing) in material selection for detail part fabrication.
Assists the product design team (engineering and manufacturing) in determining the appropriate assembly, joining and finishing processes to meet the solar products performance, reliability and cost targets.
Responsible for defining and executing the material testing and process development plans.
Responsible for production process development as related to establishing and determining engineering requirements to insure that product performance, safety and reliability are met. This includes joining (welding, brazing, diffusion, bonding, fastening, etc) procedures.

Must possess demonstrated knowledge of high-temp alloys and joining techniques to meet high volume production rates (up to 10K-40K units per year)
Must possess demonstrated knowledge (or the ability to learn quickly) of forming, stamping, welding (fusion and solid state), adhesives, ceramics (insulation) and finishes.
