Responsible for performing professional operating accounting involving business operations amounting to $90 million in annual sales. Ensures day-to-day automated accounting and payroll systems’ operations are carried out under established accounting principles. Directs work of subordinate staff, ensuring the proper maintenance of books of account, and exercising first level supervisory responsibilities. Assists management officials in analyzing financial data in terms of effect on assets and liabilities, and oversees timely reports preparation and financial information for management, including balance sheets, operating profit/loss statements, cost comparisons. Participates in management decision-making reviews, and recommends management actions based on accounting trends.

Qualifications
An Accounting Degree from an accredited university with four years of progressively responsible accounting experience which demonstrates (1) professional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) involving commercial accounting systems, general fund revolving, and financial management reporting; (2) knowledge of automated accounting systems to produce financial statements, designing reports and ability to analyze and interpret data, etc.; (3) ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing on complex financial matters; and (4) supervisory work involving subordinates engaged in diverse accounting and payroll activities. Non-degree applicants must have at least 24 semester hours of accounting from an accredited university plus five years of experience in the elements described in (1) through (4) above. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly desirable. Annual reporting of personal financial interest is required.
