Major Duties

This position is located in the Facilities Sustainment (FS) Branch, Production Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Hawaii.  Provides carpentry service involving assisting or constructing items using wood, wood substitutes a, and composite building materials.  Constructs, installs, repairs, and modifies wood and wood substitutes to produce a wide variety of structures.  Operates general and precision carpentry and woodworking equipment to produce finished products with precise fits, accurate dimensions, and acceptable appearance.  Interprets complex instructions, sketches, blueprints and building codes.  Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools and equipment and adheres to safety procedures.  Installs various types of floor covering on concrete, wood and metal surfaces incidental to carpentry work.  Removes carpet, asphalt or vinyl tile and various types of sheet floor covering materials.

SPECIAL Equipments:

This position requires a current State Driver's License.
Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Must able to obtain and maintain a NON-CRITICAL Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
A security clearance is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.  If you possess a security clearance, please indicate the level and termination date in your resume.
Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Use of personal hand tools is required.
May be required to work overtime, shift work, other than normal duty hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, recalled to duty.
This positions requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions.
This position may be jobs sited.  The employee may be required to report for work at a location other than a permanently assigned location.
May be required to wear protective gear or clothing.

Salary Range:  51,590.00 - 60,209.00 USD per year
