The oldest and largest partnership bank in America has a contract position open for a Senior Programmer Analyst.
Job Description:
The Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the design, development and support of components to enhance the Foreign Exchange (FX) application.
Responsibility:
The Senior Programmer Analyst:
Participates in all stages of development including design, coding, testing, documentation and installation of new and existing applications and products.
Prepares supporting documentation as needed, including but not limited to technical specifications and status reports.
Assists in the creation of technical specifications, along with development and testing for the full life cycle of each project.
Adheres to existing development standards and procedures.
Works closely with business users and the Project Team to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Reports ongoing progress to team leads and Project Management.
Supports application roll-outs.

Required Skills for this Senior Programmer Analyst position include the following:
The individual filling the Senior Programmer Analyst position must possess the ability to write requirement documents (BSD/CSD), as well as an excellent and advanced knowledge of:
CICS Command/Level
COBOL
JCL
DB2
VSAM
MQ Series
Changeman
FileAid
Additional Requirements:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of practical experience in MVS/COBOL/DB2/CICS Application Development and in Financial Applications Development and Support
Strong IBM DB2 experience
Strong CICS Background Processing experience
3+ years of experience writing formal requirements documents and technical specifications
Ability to analyze business and systems workflows
Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively, such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Products, Visio, etc.
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Must be a self-starter with a desire to learn; with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Previous experience in a full Development Life Cycle required
Knowledge of Foreign Exchange (F/X) business and/or any other real-time Trading Application business, a big plus
