Job Listing: Oracle Database Administrator/Architect

Volt Technical Resources is currently staffing for one of our Online Entertainment Clients here in the Valley of the Sun!!!!

There are (2) two opportunities available - one in a Publishing Division and one in Production. This client is currently working with Oracle's 11g, but they are open to candidates with 9i or 10g.

These positions have a heavy focus on transactional performance, out of the box thinking, and the ability to translate online gameplay features into relational data.

Candidates MUST HAVE logical / physical design experience to be considered for these roles.

Candidates MUST also have shipped some type of product - game, shrinkwrap software, etc.

The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys the challenge of actively pursing requirements analysis, creating data models, UML diagrams, etc.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will posses all of the following:

Recent Oracle experience for at least 3 years (5 preferred).

Experience as a data architect, coming from a banking, financial or other industry.

Experience in high performance, high transaction database environment.

Experienced in writing SQL and Stored Procedures.

A deep understanding of database performance tuning.

Logical design.

Physical design.

Database tuning / SQL tuning.

The following experience is preferred but not required:

Experience with Java.

Experience with XML.

Experience with MySQL a huge plus.
