Job Description:

The Network Administrator is responsible for the “enterprise wide” administration and maintenance of the ISP network equipment, IP address schemes, TCP/IP network connectivity, network security and other associated network services. This position will also administer, monitor and initiate proper responses to data equipment SNMP messages, alarm messages and network data traffic abnormalities. The Network Administrator reports directly to the Network Supervisor

Job Duties:
¿ Administer and maintain TCP/IP connectivity across geographically distributed ISP’s, provide IP network planning & engineering support functions.
¿ Provide internal ISP support functions with interface with third party ISP Help Desk.
¿ Administer, configure and maintain data routers, switching equipment and firewalls.
¿ Administer various ISP data bases, maintain critical backup files, and administer disaster recovery procedures.
¿ Administration and maintenance of web server equipment, radius authentication service, e-mail service, DNS services, domain registration, FTP services, software updates and associated disaster recovery support.
¿ Maintain a neat and well groomed appearance.
¿ Accurate daily time reporting and periodic updating of network diagrams.
¿ Administer and maintain the CiNAS alarm monitoring and reporting system database.
¿ All other duties as assigned by the Network Supervisor.

Job Requirements:
¿ Valid California driver’s license.
¿ Must be able to secure alarm license credential.
¿ High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in related IT field required.
¿ Must comply with all company policies and safety procedures.
¿ Basic computer keyboard and software skills (Excel, Word and other applications).
¿ Five (5) years experience required with Cisco routers & switches, Cisco/PIX firewalls, TCP/IP protocol and configurations,
¿ MS web server services, DNS, IIS, MS/SQL server administration, IP switch, IMail e-mail server, the concept and implementation of DSL broadband connectivity.
¿ Must be available to work overtime and assume on-call duties as required.
¿ Actively participate in a team environment and practice the “Corporate and Spirit of 46 values”.

Physical Requirements:
¿ Must be able to climb ladders, sit, bend, stoop, stand or walk for extended periods.
¿ Ability to work in temperature extremes ranging from +20o to +105o Fahrenheit.
¿ Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
