Mortgage Consultant/Professional Services/Default
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Project Managers and Senior Consultants, completes on-site consulting engagements. Makes recommendations, both verbal and written, to clients with regard to conversion of data, changes, improvements, training needs, reengineered process, performance optimization and other related issues.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Respond to client requests for on-site assistance with delivery to the client of a written statement of work approved by management.
2. Compiles and analyzes data, and assembles resources for clients prior to the on-site visits.
3. Completes consulting and conversion engagements in assigned functional areas. Interviews, observes and gathers relevant data on-site in client's operation in order to provide business and system application training, perform problem analysis and determine solutions to client issues.
4. Prepares and delivers to clients a written report utilizing matrices, schedules, graphs and other presentations. This report will include detailed information on observations, recommendations, work completed, pending work, and clients' on-going responsibilities.
5. Monitors the engagement's progress after the on-site review addressing any subsequent issues arising, uncompleted tasks, and any problems disclosed in assigned functional areas.
6. Supervises work assigned to the client and to Fidelity personnel.
7. Develops client relations designed to attract new consulting and training business and foster an on-going Fidelity relationship.
8. Develops procedures, flowcharts and other consulting materials.
9. Assists other Fidelity departments by providing professional and industry expertise as needed.
10. For conversion activity, also prepares deliverable for PowerCell to be used as a handoff for support related issues.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree or equivalent.
2. Three to five years of managerial experience in mortgage banking or equivalent.
3. At least three years experience MSP. Possesses product knowledge of the applications of Default Administration within the Mortgage Servicing Package (MSP). Possesses excellent knowledge of the Mortgage Banking practices of default, i.e. collections, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, real estate owned.
4. Previous consulting experience preferred.
5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Possesses the ability to relate to all levels of client personnel.
6. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with both external and internal customers.
7. Knowledgeable in personal computers and able to use multiple PC software systems (word processing, spreadsheets, databases and project management software)
8. Possesses excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
9. Possesses broad industry knowledge.
10. Minimum 50% - 65% Travel
