Job Listing: Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Overview:

Includes civil/structural design and analysis of an assigned scope of work in a project including specific complex deliverables such as tanks, structures, modules, foundations, paving, drainage and roads. Work includes, among other things, conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, design calculations, specification development and construction documents. Is able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers. Mentors junior Civil/Structural Engineers and depending on size and complexity of scope of work may be assigned as the Civil/Structural Engineering Lead for a project. Maintains and promotes a focus on end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction. Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines. Ensures effective management of change. Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control

Qualifications:

ABET engineering degree.
BSCE degree
P.E. certificate of registration required.
5-15 years of detail civil/structural engineering experience.
Familiar with codes and standards of ACI, AISC and ASCE. Is current on new scientific engineering methods and possesses a technical knowledge of the detail design engineering process.
Capable of appropriate use of computer applications and other specialized engineering tools.
NOTE: Emphasis on Structural Engineering.
