Job Listing: Senior Software Engineer

A Cutting-Edge Software Development Company in the Akron area is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help lead their development team. This Software Engineering opportunity is open due to steady growth, and an increasing demand in highly technological products being produced for the Aviation Industry.

This company develops state-of-the-art 3D simulation systems for the military and avionics industries whose products involve heavy graphics as well as framework development. This Sr. Software Engineer will be an integral part of the small development team and will be involved in various levels of low level development to high level applications programming.

This Software Engineer will participate in the design, development and testing of products developed for the aviation industry including tactical simulation protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Developing in a structured environment using configuration management methodologies
- Developing software with Microsoft’s Visual Studio and developing in C++ programming language

Qualifications:
- Development in C++ using Visual Studio/Visual Source Safe
- Design and development of DLLs and associated API’s
- XML parsing using Xerces
- Use of STL to manage data
- Large-scale systems integration: networking, UDP sockets, System Engineering principles

This individual will be developing 3D graphics engines, high end graphics tailored to operator needs, Artificial Intelligence for Behavioral Patterns, as well as Framework development.

This position is a 6 month (minimum) contract position that is expected to go up to 12 months, most likely longer.
