Job Listing: Planner

PLANNER

Planning, engineering and landscape architecture consulting firm with 60 year history seeks an experienced planning professional. Applicant must have expertise in land use, zoning, physical development assessments, urban planning, demographic analysis and interpretation, environmental assessments, etc.

AICP designation and GIS/AutoCAD experience desired. Writing and public presentation skills are a must. Additional responsibilities may include preparation of consultant responses to RFP's/RFQ's, and business development.

Applicant should be prepared to demonstrate an ability to establish and adhere to project budgets, timelines and compliance with contract terms and conditions. Project management experience is required.

Salary and benefits are negotiable and will be based on experience of applicant.

General responsibilities would include:

1) Working on planning assignments currently under contract including:
a) Municipal Development Plans
b) Waterfront Development Plans
c) Highest and Best Use plans for public and private clients
d) Zoning analyses for public and private clients

2) Assisting firm with seeking new planning work with public and private clients
a) Direct firm responses to RFP's/RFQ's
b) Attend client presentations
c) Assist with determining project schedule and budget

3) Assist with generating philosophy under which Firm's planning work will be completed
