Job Listing: Senior Accountant

Our client, a global leader in the retail industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant to their rapidly growing Finance team. This talented Finance team manages big numbers and small details.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this position will have high visibility to members of the senior management team.

Responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the monthly close and consolidation process of domestic and international operations. Preparing monthly financial statements and various related financial analysis.
- Supervising, coaching and mentoring accounting staff.
- Supporting the external and internal audit processes
- Research and analyze general ledger accounts and accounting policies for conformity to GAAP.
- Preparing analyses related to key accounting areas
- Acting as the point person for all consolidation matters related to German subsidiaries.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 + years accounting/financial analysis work experience required.
- Thorough working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
- Sharp investigative accounting skills required.
- Proficiency in PC's, and Microsoft excel required. SAP preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Capability to interface with all levels of personnel required
