Job Listing: Engineering Manager

Aerotek and its client are looking for someone who has done management for a logistics or distribution company, but a person from a manufacturing facility is okay. Needs to have experience managing 3rd party vendors as well as have experience setting up new lines inside a facility.

Some examples of things candidate will be working with are Weigh Machines, Conveyors and doing Bills of Materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee maintenance group of 20-25 associates, including supervisor(s), engineer(s), mechanics, electricians, etc.
-Manage departmental expenses and capital spending plan.
-Manage building, grounds, and equipment maintenance for a large distribution facility.
-Initiate process improvement ideas.
-Manage key service vendors, such as security and housekeeping.
-Responsible for a combined budget of $6MM to spend and $2-$6MM capital plan.
-Responsible for Maintenance Department staff of 20-25 Associates
-Responsible for maintaining assets valued at $90MM

EDUCATION/BACKGROUND:
- 4 Year Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Engineering. MBA preferred.
-Experience in project/process management, cost management, continuous improvement, and quality control highly desired.
-Previous experience supervising salaried employees plus a minimum of 10+ hourly employees.
-PC literate with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
